For Fall Break, I flew out to San Francisco for the first time to see Henry since he moved. It was also my birthday weekend, so I figured what better way to spend it than to fly to the West Coast and celebrate in style. I found Henry in the baggage claim section of the SFO airport, still dressed in his work attire. He had a cute addition to his wardrobe, which was the sporting of a mini pumpkin in his hand for me!

On Friday, Henry and I celebrated my birthday. We attended the International Art Museum of America (free admission), walked to Chinatown and ordered dim sum and rambutans for lunch, walked up Lombard street, biked across the Golden Gate Bridge, and went to Fort Mason for the Off the Grid food truck rally!

During lunch, we had a hilarious moment when we sat down to eat our dim sum. We were at the top of a massive side street on a hill when one of the dumplings fell off of my fork and hit the pavement. It starting rolling all the way down the hill and nearby birds began to chase it! It was quite the site to see and made lunch all the more entertaining.

Also, the bike across the Golden Gate Bridge was much more difficult than I anticipated! It may have been that I was a little rusty riding a bike or that I found out I was pedaling with the wrong gear settings, but overall I got a great workout and got to see some amazing views of the city skyline for the first time.

The weekend adventure continued on Saturday when we walked to the Pier and the Marina and saw the sea lions! There were hundreds of them on the floating wooden planks, all stretching out and sun bathing.

Eventually, Sunday came around all too fast and I found myself at the airport again. I'm looking forward to my next visit soon!
